1. Scope and who we are
FaxPage is an iPhone and iPad application provided by the application provider identified as the seller or developer on FaxPage’s App Store product page (“FaxPage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the FaxPage app, visit the FaxPage website, or contact support.
2. Information handled by the FaxPage app
FaxPage may handle content you choose to enter or select, including sender and recipient details, fax numbers, addresses, email addresses, messages, confidentiality text, logos, signatures, PDF files, images, draft settings, and generated PDFs.
The app processes this content locally on your iPhone or iPad. FaxPage does not use a developer-operated backend to upload or process your documents, and we cannot view or retrieve content that remains on your device.
| Information | Why the app uses it | Where it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Sender and recipient details | Cover sheet fields and optional reusable profiles | Local app database |
| PDF and image attachments | Build and preview the combined document | Managed local app storage |
| Drafts and settings | Auto-save work and remember preferences | Local app database |
| Generated PDFs | Preview, share, print, or save when you choose | Managed local storage until deleted or exported |
No account, advertising, analytics, or tracking
FaxPage does not require a user account and does not include third-party advertising, marketing, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
App Store purchase
FaxPage is purchased upfront through the App Store and has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Apple handles your Apple Account, payment method, billing, taxes, purchase history, and transaction processing under Apple’s policies. FaxPage does not receive your payment-card details.
3. Contacts and Photos permissions
Contacts
FaxPage requests Contacts access only after you choose an action such as importing a sender or recipient. A selected contact is used locally to fill profile fields. You can deny access and enter details manually.
Photos
FaxPage requests Photos access only after you choose a Photos-based import for an attachment, logo, or signature. Selected images are processed locally. You can deny access and use Files where available.
You can review or change permissions in your device’s Settings > Privacy & Security. Menu names can vary by operating system version.
4. Files, Share Extension, exporting, and printing
Imports and Share Extension
When you select a file through Apple’s document picker or share supported content to FaxPage, you initiate the import. The FaxPage Share Extension may temporarily stage selected files in a local iOS or iPadOS App Group container so the main app can ask you to confirm the import. That container is shared only between FaxPage components.
Destinations you choose
When you share, print, Save to Files, or open a PDF in another app or service, you direct the transfer. The destination may be a cloud-storage provider, email or messaging app, printer, fax service, recipient, or another third party. Its terms and privacy policy then apply. We do not control the destination.
Deleting content from FaxPage does not delete copies you previously exported, printed, shared, or saved elsewhere.
5. Website information
The FaxPage website is built without advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. Like most websites, its hosting infrastructure may process limited request information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site, such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device details, response status, and security or error information.
Such information is used only for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention, and security—not advertising or behavioral profiling. Retention depends on the configured hosting provider and applicable legal obligations.
6. Support communications
If you email contact@faxpage.app, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device and app details, and any attachment. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, protect the app and website, maintain an appropriate support record, and comply with legal obligations.
Support messages may be processed by our email provider and your email provider under their respective policies.
7. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process limited information:
- to respond to support requests and support your use of FaxPage;
- for legitimate interests in operating, securing, and troubleshooting the app and website;
- to comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights; and
- with consent where consent is required.
Content that remains only on your device is not personal information that we receive or control.
8. How limited information may be disclosed
We do not sell personal information. Limited website or support information may be:
- processed by hosting, email, or technical providers acting on our behalf;
- sent to a destination you deliberately select during export or sharing;
- shared with professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
- disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; or
- transferred to a successor in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of FaxPage, subject to applicable law.
9. Retention and deletion
Local app data
You control data stored by FaxPage on your device. You can delete individual items or use Delete all local data in FaxPage Settings, which asks for confirmation twice. You may also delete the app. Offloading an app may preserve its data, so use FaxPage’s deletion control or fully delete the app when removal is your goal.
These actions do not remove copies already exported to Files, another app, cloud storage, a printer, a recipient, or a backup you control. Delete those copies at their destination.
Support and website information
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, keep an appropriate support record, comply with law, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Website logs are retained for the operational or security period configured with the hosting provider and any period required by law.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
You can:
- decline or revoke Contacts and Photos access;
- choose whether and where to export, share, save, or print content;
- delete individual items or all local FaxPage data;
- delete separately exported copies at their destination; and
- request access to, correction of, or deletion of support information by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information we hold, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions, and we may need to verify a request.
Because FaxPage has no account or developer backend, we generally cannot identify, retrieve, export, or delete content stored only on your device.
11. International processing
Website hosting and email providers may process limited website or support information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to international transfers. Contact us for information relevant to a specific support request.
12. Children’s privacy
FaxPage is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app has no account and processes documents on the device. A parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion of information a child sent to support.
13. Security
Local processing reduces the need to transmit document content to us. We use reasonable safeguards for the limited website and support information we handle. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, backups, exported files, email account, and selected third-party services.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when FaxPage’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised version here and change the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.
15. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@faxpage.app.
